“This battery tricycle is like a leg for me. Until I die, I will have to work for a living with this tricycle.”
These powerful words belong to Ko Khin Maung Myint, a man whose resilience defines the very spirit of the “We Care, We Share” initiative. Despite living with a disability from a broken back, Ko Khin Maung Myint refuses to let his circumstances dictate his future. Every day, he struggles for his family, relying entirely on his battery-powered tricycle to navigate the world and earn a livelihood.

A Silent Struggle Behind the Wheels
When the “We Care, We Share” team met with Ko Khin Maung Myint to ask how we could support him, we discovered a quiet but heavy burden. His current tricycle batteries had reached a critically low capacity.
While a kind-hearted neighbor allowed him to charge his vehicle for free, the failing batteries required charging every single day. For a proud and respectable man like Ko Khin Maung Myint, this daily necessity became a source of embarrassment, as he felt he was overstaying the welcome of those trying to help him during these difficult times.
Restoring Mobility and Dignity
The solution was clear: new, high-capacity batteries would transform his daily life. With a fresh power source, he would only need to charge the tricycle once every two or three days, significantly reducing the strain on his neighbor and allowing him to work longer and more efficiently.
In deep appreciation of his sincere efforts and his refusal to give up on life, “We Care, We Share” donated 550,000 Kyats to cover the full cost of the replacement batteries.

A Noble Effort for a Brave Soul
Helping Ko Khin Maung Myint isn’t just about repairing a vehicle; it’s about honoring the dignity of a man who works tirelessly despite physical pain. By providing these “new legs,” we hope to lighten his load and give him the independence he deserves.
As our team watched him prepare for his next journey, we were reminded that even a small spark of kindness can power a long road toward hope. May the pain and suffering he has endured be released as a result of this goodness.
