At HGL Myanmar, our commitment to social responsibility is more than just a policy; it is a promise to stand by our community during challenging times. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Myanmar Plaza has spearheaded the “We Care, We Share” initiative—a program born out of the necessity to protect and provide for those around us.
A Journey of Giving: From Prevention to Sustenance
The “We Care, We Share” program was originally launched to combat the spread of the virus. In its early stages, the focus was on immediate safety:
• Preventative Gear: Distributing hand sanitizers and face masks to the public.
• Medical Support: Providing vital cash donations to community healthcare centers.
As the situation evolved, so did our mission. Understanding that the economic ripples of the past two years have made food security a priority for many families, we shifted our focus toward continuous nutritional support.

Direct Impact: Rice and Stationery Donation in East Dagon
Yesterday, on October 21st, the Myanmar Plaza team visited Ward (108) of East Dagon Township in the Yangon Region to carry out our latest distribution effort.
The day was filled with gratitude and smiles as we reached out to local families and their children:
• Essential Supplies: We donated 4kg bags of rice to 300 households, ensuring that basic nutritional needs are met for those in the community.
• For the Youth: Recognizing the importance of education and health for the next generation, we also distributed stationery sets and nutritional snacks to the children living in the area.
“The Myanmar Plaza team feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of these families. Seeing the resilience of the community inspires us to keep pushing forward.”

Looking Ahead
While this donation marks a significant milestone, our work is far from over. Myanmar Plaza remains dedicated to the “We Care, We Share” philosophy. We are already planning our next steps to ensure that help reaches those who need it most.
We believe that by sharing what we have, we can build a stronger, more caring community together. Stay tuned for more updates on our upcoming charitable activities.
