Restoring Hope: A Day of Giving with “We Care, We Share”

For families struggling to get by, a health crisis can be devastating—especially for the elderly living with chronic illnesses. In the heart of East Dagon, the Saytanarshin Charity Clinic has served as a critical lifeline for 16 years, providing free medical care and hope to seniors who might otherwise have nowhere to turn.
At HAGL Myanmar, we believe that the true measure of our success is the impact we leave on our community. On January 29, our “We Care, We Share” team spent the day at this local charitable clinic, reaffirming our commitment to the health, dignity, and well-being of our elders.

Investing in Community Health
The Saytanarshin Charity Clinic operates on the strength of volunteers and donors. To help ensure that their mission continues without interruption, “We Care, We Share” was honored to provide a dual-layered contribution focused on both the institution and the individuals:
• Empowering the Clinic: We donated 2,000,000 MMK to the clinic’s general medical fund. These resources will assist in procuring essential medicines, medical supplies, and maintaining the equipment used to treat the hundreds of seniors who visit the facility.
• Direct Patient Support: Recognizing the personal financial burdens that often accompany old age, we provided 30,000 MMK each to 48 elderly patients currently receiving treatment at the clinic. This total of 1,440,000 MMK in direct aid was provided to assist with their personal care and daily needs.

The Foundation of Our Community
The elderly are the foundation of our families and the keepers of our history. By supporting their health today, we are not just providing medical aid; we are building a stronger, more compassionate Myanmar where every generation is looked after with respect and kindness.
“Our visit to Saytanarshin was a reminder that while medicine treats the body, care and solidarity heal the spirit. We are humbled to support the dedicated staff who have kept this clinic running for over a decade and to offer direct strength to these 48 brave individuals.”
A Shared Commitment
This initiative is a reflection of the collective heart of HAGL Myanmar, our partners at the Myanmar Center, and the shoppers at Myanmar Plaza. Together, we continue to prove that when we care, we truly can change lives.
May the health of our elders be restored, and may the spirit of giving continue to flourish across our nation.
