A Beacon of Hope: We Care, We Share Supports Vulnerable Families in Hlaing Thar Yar

At the heart of the “We Care, We Share” initiative is a simple, unwavering mission: to stand beside those facing the steepest hills in life. This week, our team traveled to Hlaing Thar Yar Township to provide essential aid to families navigating extraordinary physical and financial hardships.
In a community where many are struggling to make ends meet, we focused our efforts on those who are often the most overlooked—the elderly, the ill, and those living with disabilities.

Providing Essential Sustenance
For a family managing a chronic illness or a physical disability, the rising cost of basic groceries can be a source of constant anxiety. To alleviate this burden, “We Care, We Share” provided carefully prepared food packages to several households, including:
• Elderly residents living without consistent support.
• Cancer patients undergoing difficult treatments.
• Visually impaired individuals striving for independence.
• A neighbor who recently underwent a leg amputation due to diabetes.
Each family received a donation of:
• 4 kg of Rice (High-quality staple grain)
• 800 g of Cooking Oil (Essential for daily nutrition)
• 1 Full Egg Card (A vital source of protein)

Supporting Local Heroes: The Kon Na Win Volunteer Team
We believe that community resilience is built on the backs of local volunteers. During our visit, we recognized the tireless work of the “Kon Na Win” Volunteer Team, a group dedicated to managing social welfare and funeral services for families in the surrounding area.
To support their noble service to the community, “We Care, We Share” donated 100,000 Kyats to help them continue their essential work.
